Replace OEM Speakers?

About a year or so ago, I was thinking about just adding an Amp+subwoofer+dsp to my 2022 silverado crew cab, however, I decided against this due to space issues. Now I am considering adding an amp and just replacing all the OEM speakers (6 speaker system, non-bose) with after market speakers. I would likely go with Apline as that has always been my preference. But, before I do that, what can I realistically expect from doing this. What kind of improvement in power/volume/sound quality can I expect to hear over the factory system? If I spend $600-800 on this upgrade, do you think it would be night and day difference? I should add that I would be keeping my factory head unit as it has all the radio/backup camera features tied into it, etc.

Thanks,
DJ

I saw an improvement in my sound. The amp also helped with the power. I installed a PAC brand harness that allowed me to add an aftermarket amp to my factory system, without cutting or splicing wires.

Given the choice between adding a sub and keeping stock speakers, or no sub but all new speakers, I'd go for the sub even if it was a lot of finagling to make it work. A sub can work magic on even moderate sounding speakers.

I wouldn't expect night and day just swapping out speakers and adding an amp.

I think replacing the speakers can be a big improvement, but that depends on the quality of the OEM speakers and how much you're willing spend. Adding a sub is usually the biggest bank for your dollar. I would think there are a ton of simple solutions for adding a sub to you Silverado.

From my own experience, for integration with the OEM amplifier I seek the following- 89+ dB sensitivity and 20-40w RMS. Those that rate 89+ dB but with 75+w RMS have resulted in about 50% success. In my installation repertoire are Kenwood, Pioneer, Skar, Jensen, Alpine and DB Drive. Those are the more common brands down here so that is what I am handed. The odd thing is that even in the same brand (but different model) there are those that improve the sound and vice versa.
