stick with the standard, no sense in spending the extra 10 bucks just for the VERY slight overclock.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130325 30 dollar mail in rebate as well so its only 169

overclock the thing yourself

make an account on EVGA and download the new software they put out called EVGA Precision. you can overclock it as well as watch your temps and adjust the fan speed to your liking kinda like rivatuner but EVGA style

*edit* and if your worried about heat issues, pick up an Artic Cooling Accelero S1 with a 120MM fan, dropped my stock cooler temps for my GT from 80C down to 39C under full load and playing crysis for a few hours

I like Seagate Drives better, Had 2 WD's one failed and one got real noisy. The Seagate 500's on in my computer right now and are doing great. ( knock on wood)

I like Cooler Master Cases, They have a great Tool less design.

Best MB's I have had were all Gigabyte, But I am an AMD Man.

I don't see an OS in your list.
Both drive manufacturers are great, i dont prefer one over the other there both equal, you just get a bad batch sometimes. ive had more seagates go wrong than WD's but youve had more WD's go bad than seagates. Shit happens. As far as the case goes, your going to want something with good airflow. This one may be double the price of the one he suggested but you cant go wrong with a nice big case with kick *** airflow.

for OS I have XP SP3. I am already sold on the box I picked out and as far as Graphisc card that will be the last thing I get so well see what prices look like at the end of the month as I dont have quite enough to purchase everything now. THanks guys for your help

Uh, why the hell would you get an 8800 GTS for $200 when the HD 4850 wipes the floor with it for less (and the 9800 GTX wipes the floor with it for the same price) ?

was planning on getting 2 640gbs from WD, they got good reviews and a few people have recomended them to me why?
You can get 2 1TB drives off of eBay for like $40 more. They are the WD green power ones. I have one in an external drive, and it's a decent drive, can't say too much as I'm using it on a USB interface, so transfer speeds aren't the best.

The Green Power series is aimed at the energy conscience or the home theater crowd where power consumption, heat, and/or noise is a concern. They are the worst performing TB hard drive on the market, though, so if you do a lot of media-related work (like the OP said he is going to do), they are a bad choice.
