When I bought my system, my boss's partner who ran a different part of the company said, "Dude, you're an idiot! with the same money, you could've gotten two-times better quality from JL!"

He then showed his great intelligence when a coworker went to show me his system which consisted of a Sony Amp and XPLODEZZZZ. He knew it wasn't anything good, but my boss's partner said, "See?! Those are subs! Put your head in the cab! Your eyes feel like they're gunna pop out of your head!"

I said, "I'd rather not. I like my hearing."

After I installed my modest system, I went back to work and cranked it and his mouth kinda just dropped.

On that note, I need to build a bigger box... and port it. This .7CuFt before displacement sealed just isn't working too well.

lol, I got the same thing a while ago when I was running a single 12" Kicker CVX on 750 watts, I beat a guy with a new 13W7 and 1000/1. I beat him by 2db's and he was so pissed that I had a lot less than him and was much louder. Not to mention over a thousand le$$ in gear.

That reminds me....I went to a show in Tenn in 03 I had blown one of my DDs and I just had 1 DD 9910 and a rockford t3000.

Guy saw my setup and saw I had a MECA 150+db sticker on my bravada and started laughing saying there was no way I could do a 150 with that setup.

He had 12 12s in a ext cab truck in a HORRIBLE looking box, well I waited until he got in line and got right behind him...he ran and did a 149 and change

I ran with my 1 10 and did a 153 in the kick then beat him by like 2db in drive by too.
