Depends on the voltage...go test the voltage of your speaker outputs and you've got your current...

depending on the power you could. If you let it idle and the voltage get's to low on a burp then your not feeding the amp the current it needs, thus giving you a lower score on the meter. Keeping it revved to 2k should feed your battery and your amp plenty of power to make up the 2 or more db's you could lose.

I've been doing SPL for 8 years...and that extra 200 amps of current (which is equal to having another battery) is not going to gain you db.

Hell in my old street max truck...it did a 162 with 2 batteries...added 3 more and 2 alts...no change in score with 8 IA 20.1s

P=I^2*R, 5000=I^2*1, 5000=I^2, sqrt of 5000 is 70.7107, so over 70 amps.

never said i lost anything. but my amp at 14v vs 12v is rediculous.

and my alt needs i think 2k to put out max. but IDC about scores. i'm not a competitor.

Yeah I was telling my mom how much I paid for my 2 12" FI SSD's and she thought I was crazy, but everyone has there hobbies. Better that than me robbing or something
