Car Audio + Rims = Bad Idea?

orly? theres a whole 2 Message boards with people who drive berettas. im one of them. now go take your dime a dozen "rustang" and show it off to your teenage freinds that dont know the difference between a pushrod and their penis.
The only people I ever see driving berettas are 16-40 year old women or the occasional douchebag that thinks he's cool. I didn't compare my mustang to the picture you posted of a beretta. So as stated before, put your e choad away. The op asked about adding rims to his car, Not if he should buy his little sister's beretta.

I put a set of 20"s on my 02 monte carlo because anything smaller looked out of place on it. It is a fairly large car and 17's and 18's looked to small. They have 35 series sidewalls and have had no problem at all. Dont have an overly large stereo but 4 people in it and its still fine.

lol those make me puke. especialy when i had seen a set on a 87 grand national.
i will never buy wheels over 17" for a car. if your rollin on 20s that fine, but dont ask me to be nice and say it makes the car look good. they overwhelm the look of the car and distract other motorists LOL

if your worried about system weight, just settle for 18's. how much does it weigh?
You sir are just mad because you cannot afford big rims. If you have a vehicle with rims that don't feel up the wheel well then I am going to smack you in the face. Big rims do not take away from the car in any manner. What makes a vehicle look good is a set of rims that feel out the well. So don't listen to this out of lessens dumbass on decisions on rims; however, I believe you can get spring spacers at auto zone for like 15 bucks if a little rubbing is the problem.

first go back to school and learn correct grammar.

second, i never said you couldn't buy your paperweights, but when you whine about bad MPG and handling like a land yaht, its going to be YOUR problem, NOT mine.

third, i bought bigger wheels. i bought 16's for my beretta with new racing grade tires.

My car handles just as good if not better with 20" rims. They weigh about 3lbs heavier each than my stock wheels and have a much shorter sidewall so there isnt as much sidewall flex.
I'm all for people expressing their opinions or thoughts, but I find it hard to believe you only gained 3lbs per corner, unless you roll on some forged wheels.

x2 except mine weigh probably 20-25lbs more per corner. but I dont race, so i could care less about the weight. i can take corners a lot better than with stock wheels and tires.

the point of buying wheels and tires IMHO is to get better handling. you have better RESPONSE, but overall handling decreases.

I have 20"s on my Monte, with two 15"s in the trunk. Today i was getting 27mpg at 70mph. But if i take a corner too fast my wheels rub on my rear fender. I need a stiffer suspension.

20"s make for a rough bumpy ride! If your town is like my and has less then perfect roads, i wouldnt recommend it. --but they look nice

Question has been answered, in detail, several times now, prior to your 'you'll be fine' mumbo jumbo.
Way to go and 'dump in this guys thread.'

well put. couldn't have said it any better my self.

as far as that "90's" car goes, how can u say it looks good, but then say u don't know anything about it cuz it was built for speed?

it HAS a cherry bomb, but on the end is a flowmaster 40, so its not very loud.

My stock wheels were 16"s and almost solid with very little opening on the face of the wheel. My 20's are all open 10 spoke. The majority of the face of the wheel is open. Heres what i got now.
