Car Audio + Rims = Bad Idea?

One thing to consider with aftermarket rims, especially larger ones, is that your car will draw more attention from would-be thieves that will assume you have a system. It's science. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Get coilovers, balances what you got in the trunk and you can raise/lower any side or the front or rear. Gas mileage will decrease of course, so will your acceleration, braking, and cornering. I'm not joking either...unsprung weight is a two word reason.

i have 20's with 255/35/20 tires and they are slighlty taller than stock tires and wheels, so my speedo/odo are slightly off. it says 60, im probably doing 62-65.
So dont have any problems with your tires and your systems weight

LOL, you must be thinking 30's
lol those make me puke. especialy when i had seen a set on a 87 grand national.

i will never buy wheels over 17" for a car. if your rollin on 20s that fine, but dont ask me to be nice and say it makes the car look good. they overwhelm the look of the car and distract other motorists LOL

if your worried about system weight, just settle for 18's. how much does it weigh?

speedometer should be fine if you wheel/tire combo are that same height as stock

you will notice a difference in ride due to lower profile tires

added weight of the wheel could make you use more gas

overall 20's wont hurt much

its all depends on your ride and weight from system to be real and yes the flashier your ride the more attention from unwanted folks it will bring you can match up 20 inch rim/tires to rotate the same as stock and have the same mount of revilations as stock you will need to consult your local tires shop or call up a discount tire they can walk you threw the process and explain it better than i can

more that a bit... anything over 18 on a car looks like shit IMHO. the cars soposed to be the thing looked at, not the **** wheels...
how? why buy wheels if you don't want them to be looked at? wheels are part of the car, and if they get looked at first, then maybe so will the rest of the car. i don't think 2o's look bad at all, and i saw an escalade in colorado with thirties and i almost pissed myself. but like was said before, it attracts more attention and in turn, thieves

Wow, people REALLY don't know what they're talking about. It HIGHLY depends on the vehicle. Let me post this once more...please, tell me, does this look shit?

And I have plenty room to spare, that's with a 2.5" drop. Could fit 22's with rubber bands if I really wanted, but that IMO wouldn't look all that great. I've seen PLENTY of G35's, 350z's, some Corvettes.... all with 20's, and they look very nice.

I mean Im not doing a wall system or nothing but Im thinking Ill have about 500 pounds of weight in the trunk or less
