Buying front stage.

Im looking into buying frontstage system within the next few weeks. My speakers are blown and needa replace them asap. I'm wanting a component system 6.5 and i think the mounting depth needs to be below 3 inches. I will install a 3/4 mdf ring as well. I have an amp also.

I got somewhere around 100-200$ to spend

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have been looking at Orion P6.2 system, Anyone have any info on these? I know thye make good amps and subs, How are their comps?

Also the Crystal sscs6 but ive heard fellow integra owners have ran into problems mounting them.

Check out the MB Quart Reference component sets. Are you going to be using an amplifer? They'll do okay off head unit power, but they'd really like at least 50w.

I want a comp system. And I will be running off the headunit for a month or so. The amp I have will be running 100-150 rms at 4 ohms. And the orions are 3ohm VC.

I want strong midbass, and some loud tweeters. I have never heard titanium tweeters but willing to give them a shot.

what'll be the 4 ohm rating? i know the quarts will handle in excess of 100w easily. I gave my discus (low-line) quarts 100w, no problem.

not many comp sets out there that are 2 ohm.

also if you could get a hold of some DLS comps on the forum, they are good too

I think the inifnity kappas are 2 ohm. I know the coaxials are.

How about Focal 165A?

It has good effieciency so it will sound good off hu.

And has titanium tweeter.

The P6.2 are excellent, if you can still find them... I think they have been discontinued.

Better yet would be Cerwin Vega V-Max 65... do a search on Froogle.com

The Crystal SSCS is bigger than a standard 6.5"... I know the hole cut-out is 5.75"... I believe the mounting ring/outside diameter is bigger also... not sure of the exact measurement... probably closer to 7"
