building the perfect system

if i get the 2 15s i can still hear the music right? (kicker l7) or just all bass

if that doesnt work ill stick with the 2 12s and move on to amps

well i g2g, i gotta leave in 15 min for work

ill prolly go witht eh 2 12 or 2 15 it doesnt really matter, once i get back from work ill do a little more research on amps, then once i find the right amp ill move on

so far this is my perfect system lmao

2 15 2006 kicker l7

2 12 2006 kicker l7

(btw is l7 better or l5 of the best of each)

L7. for 2 L7's, go with a pg xenon 1200.1, ed nine.1, orion 1200d, kicker zx1250.1 (see a pattern?). anything that'll put out around 1500 rms @1ohm (or more if you can afford it).

also, are you gonna build a box or have someone that can?

they will at dealers or shop or w\e goes, cuz i dont know howd install a system or build a box, so im just buying what i need and let them do the rest, kk i gotta go to work peace out, and thanks for all the help

2 15's ported if you want crazy loud spl that'll wang your mom 3 states away.
2 12's if you want to keep some of the tight sq
Surely you aren't suggesting cone size alone determines how 'tight' the sound is or how good the sq will be. Ive heard some sloppy 8's and some very clean sounding 18's. Enclosure size/type/alignment has much more to do with the over all sound of the system than does the diameter of the cone(s) used.

People keep trying to categorize things neatly and easily, like 12's are tighter than 15's, 18's are sloppy or only good for rap, etc etc. The truth is the situation is so much more complicated than that. Even the issues I mention still over simplify the situation in reality.

well that takes cares of that..

ill prolly be getting the 2 12" kicker l7s, s12 2ohm? or 4? or 0?

what amp should i get for it? should i stick with the kicker amps? if so what would be the best amp that would fit it

btw building the box, i have no idea on this stuff so what kind of box should i tell teh dealers to build? got any pics of it?

anyone up yet lol?

edit-hmm it says the l7 takes 1500/750watts max.. what does that mean?

1500 as a pair? or 1500 as a max level n 750 is min, (i got this on the kicker site) so if i got 2 of these subs

do i need a 1500 or 3000 watt amp?

i wasn't going on cone size alone. yes alot of other things factor in as well. it was just a generalization. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
