hey what up, nice site btw..

im very very new into subs,speakers, etc etc so i dont know much but im planning to buy a system for my car(06 pontiac g6)

im planning to spend like 700-800 dollars on it.. i want to beat my friends mtx system which hits about 750watts, thats all the info i know about his system..

i plan to get these subs, kickers, jl, mtx, but lately i have heard about the "type r" are those the alpine subs? i also heard kickers break down too easy so ill try to stay away from that

but if anyone can help me get a system thats over 750-1000watts, price range 700-800$ would be great, thanks

the new kickers are very reliable and can take alot more power and abuse...the older models were known to break...but the new ones are completely different.

and yes the alpine type r is a great sub.

we need to kno what music preference, if you prefer sq, sql, spl.

how much room you have to work with.

as for 7-800 dollars, jl is outta the question unless you buy used.

theres a used pioner p860mp in the classifieds. great deck imo. very highly recommended.

you could get an 06 l7 12" an orion 1200d, nice ported enclosure. dunno if your going to get a h/u or not, but if you are.. the pioneers are pretty nice. i own a premier 680, and love the thing to death. all of those together would run you around that price range, and would be loud. kicker products do not break down from normal use, and even getting abused: talk to spkrman about that, he will tell you about the amp that he abuses.

i listen to mostly rap, cuz i like that booom.... BOOOOOOM.... i was at cartunes the other day and the guy showed me his subs, he had

500/1 jl amp

1 10" w6

250w max

when he was playing the music he has the bass turn down to 0 and it was banging.. it wasnt all that loud but it was enough to be noticeable.. so just picturing the w7's in action would be a beast

if i didnt hear so many bad comments about kickers, i would of gotin them already, kickers are really my fvt subs but im afaid to get them cuz they will prolly end up breaking down for me sooner or later

i dont know what all u lookin to replace in your car, but u can easily out slam ur friends car, with a single sub in he right enclosure and amp to power it. Yea pioneer HU's are good, i own a clarion but its all what ur looking for. Kicker does have great products, i never really seen them break down.

subs: KIcker cvx or l7, soundsplinter rl-p, diamond audio d6, alpine type r

amps: Orion 1200d, kicker amps,

kickers are great plus if anything happens there is always warranty.

Lightning Audio Storm amps > LA Bolt amps (Wal-Mart).
If you didn't know that, you're the n00b. Storm amps are very similar to the MB Quart RAA amps. So YOU stfu if you don't know what you're talkin about.
