Pics of the progress on my 1978 MB 240D. The cars still a work in progress (hoping to spray next weekend). Got the trunk partially done today, with my amp rack built and the box installed. The Pioneer sub pictured is only temporary until my 13Kv.3 comes in (in transit).

The goods are, a Kenwood Excelon X979 Head unit.

Sub- Elemental 13kv.3

Sub Amp- Hifonics Zxi6006

Front Stage- Custom 3 Way (Tweeters, 5.25" Mids, 6.5" Midbass.)

Speaker Amp- Aura RPM 2300

The car

Amp Rack on my kitchen floor.

Amps installed and wired. 1 Gauge weldingsupply wire, split to 4 AWG.

Box/Amp cover installed

Amps under cover

Yeah, I was waiting for someone to notice my screw up. I built the box upside down and forgot to double check. I figured I'd see how it sounded and change it around later if needed. It doesn't really affect the sound so i think I'll stick with it. Just these things that always show me I'm a noob LOL.

LOL terminal cup in the port, I didnt even notice, I wonder how much it may affect it.

My only suggestion is to knock off the outside port wall and replace it with a piece of wood that doesnt have a terminal cup in it, you can then easily relocate the terminal to the back of the box where it wont be seen. Its an easy fix and really should be done. Other wise it looks good for a first time shot

Rofl @ amprack with hinges, duct tape for deebeez, custom "box mounting" hardware, caps for good lectrics, and all the time you spent drilling pointless ugly holes in that board that would't circulate a hot breath of air... Oh wait, hence the hinges. Rofl again...
