Once I finish up with it everything will be wrapped in high quality vinyl so it should be lookin pretty spiffy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

***,

so what didnt you like about the previous instal that made you want to tear it all apart and do all this work?

Comments are required from the Experienced Professionals btw since this is my first build of this caliber!
looks strong, and i love that you can make new ports and adjust tuneing fairly easy.

should make a 45hz and a 22 hz port.

New car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

My previous install was in my thunderbird. Its just never loud enough though so I decided since I now have 3 cars that I could spare the back seat. However, I did not want to lose the back window since its my daily driver. This is what resulted //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

A massive 9 cubic foot enclosure built inside the back of the car. BTW after port displacment, depending on the tuning, its between 7.2~7.5 cube.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif About the lowest I can go is 32. Unless I drop port area, otherwise it wont drop in, it will hit at the top //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif 32hz is what the second port was tuned to but it seemed a little low. I know these subs hammer the lows but Im trying to pull up the response a tad by upping the tuning. Just for my musical tastes.

To change ports I will just unbolt the front baffle (beauty panel), pull it out of the car, unbolt the port and swap them, and then bolt in the front baffle. All the beauty panels bolt in and out easily and theres no way to damage any of the wood from taking pieces in and out unless you drop something or are an idiot lol. So far things have turned out fairly well imo and should be pretty sweet when its all done.

I wouldnt call 9 cubes massive. But in a car yes.
lol, yes exactly. And for it not being a complete wall I think thats a pretty big box to try and stuff in the trunk. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

maybe build a narrower port that just drops inside the current port?

It has a brand new 4.6L V8 in it, with a few things under the hood, intake, cam, injectors. Still needs exhaust work done to it, but everything else in it has been gone through and its solid.

You can probably see it better in some of the vids
