Figured I would make a build log in the new part of the forum with my update on my build since the old thread would now be in the wrong place //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
Today started off with me making a run to Lowes for supplies and stopping by Napa to pick up some misc. parts and a set of head gaskets for my buddies car (my project for tommorow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif). Got back and cut the rear deck, cut the side pieces and cut the front beauty panel.
That part was actually really tricky, trying to measure the distance of the side pieces with the wheel wells in the way. I ended up using a combination of a small square, tape measure, and a triangle to get all the necessary measurments for the sides.
I picked up a boat load of fasteners, t-nuts, bolts, washers, and what not. The pics should explain everything //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I also re-did the port, the router was back on line so I made up something new and changed the tuning to 34-35hz to see how I like that. Which about sums it up for todays work (12-8) and boy Im tired......
All thats left now, is a couple more misc. pieces to cut for a few small spots that need filled it, i.e. the front of the 'dance' floor, and two pieces under the rear deck. Oh and also the false floor in the trunk. But that shouldnt take too long. With another days work I can cut all of those pieces and get everything wrapped. Although the trunk I will probably wait on until next weekend when my 9887 arrives //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif
Now on to a few pics, and Ill add all the old ones too for those who haven't seen them.
Oh and wow what a difference already. This thing is soo much more solid and I havent even put in the bolts that go into the rear deck yet. Its bolted to the car at the dance floor, and at the rear deck, the side pieces are bolted between them, then the front panel will bolt into all of them and the enclosure itself. I dont think it will be going anywhere //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
I noticed a big difference already just in road noise with having the back deck it, its getting closer and closer to being completely sealed off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif
