8k? **** lol. this will just be around 2200-2500RMS @ 0.5ohms, or whatever the IA 20.1 will want to give me with a kinetik 800, kinetik 2400, the big 3, and a 130amp alty.

yes, i have a tonneau

and those wires will be hidden, except for a few inches where they come out of the face of the box. Those are just at excess lengths at the moment until the amp is mounted and wired

now i needa figure out how to set my gains without a DMM, i gotta be careful at 0.5ohm load lol

DMM is almost the only way to go without a scope.....if your super duper easy with it you can tweak it up a little but I wouldnt go past ~half without a dmm, you can get a cheapo DMM from meijer for like 10 bucks which will work just fine for settin the gain.

update!

i got the 20.1 in, and it sounds **** good. It needs some tweaking still though. It hits the lows very very hard, but i feel like anything around 45-55hz is weaker then the 15" Type-R's. My only guess is because of the gain though. I set it fairly low for now to see how the amplifier reacts to my setup at 0.5ohms, so far it warms itself up, but doesnt get warm (its cold outside, so it will warm up from outside temperature to about the same temperature as my skin). I'll prolly turn the gains up a bit tomorrow and see how it reacts. the subs are only getting about 1000rms a piece right now, and i stay above 12volts even cranked at idle.
