Build log: 16.25 cubes, 18" RE SX's, bed box for Avalanche

whelp, i made it home tonight. Theres good news and bad news.

The good news is the forecast is clear all weekend (normally raining here), so the building should go a little easier and quicker, and i talked my dad into giving me a hand with the other things i need to take care of such as the exhaust and whatnot. should be a promising weekend.

the bad news is, i forgot my camera in my dorm lol. So, im gonna try to snag my sister camera. If not, we'll have to settle for my 2 megapixel camera phone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I took measurements to make sure my box design will work, and it will. I also went to rip my other box out, and between four of us, we had no luck. Looks like i get to have some fun with the sawzall and a sledge tomorrow evening.

okay, finally some pictures and progress. First off, sorry about some of the pictures being retarded. It was my sisters camera, and was much different then my own.

Anyways, the box building commenced and was almost finished today. I didnt have many tools to work with, but i was pretty happy with the outcome. There needs to be some sanding done, but im happy with the product, especially with the tools i had.

Getting ready, 3 sheets of MDF, used 2 and a half

putting everything together. make sure to notice the brilliance behind the order-of assembly and how we left the back piece out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

and this is how the box currently sits. It will be sanded, primed and painted tomorrow. The whole box will get primer, and the face is going to be painted white. Im not sure why i chose white, but i didnt want any of the other colors available.

update!

everything is going along nicely. I took a break from the box so the primer could do its thing, and in that time the air intake and exhaust system went in. I also got started on a new amp rack to accomodate the IA 20.1 for when it arrives next week.

more pics up tonight.

Something louder than those two 15 inch alpines? Wow, i wish i would have got an avalanche instead of a crew cab silverado. Super stealth systems! Good luck!
