you could of cut it out without breaking it and sold it on cl fool
edit* was it glued in or bolted in with butly tape?

i cut out the support bar on the cap so its full walkthru now,

yes I have a welder, but its flux core gasless. I have a buddy that has a full Miller MIG welder (he also has TIG) but he's out of town until next week. I might just wait for him so I can get a cleaner job.
