BUILD! 03 Chevy S10 Xtreme 4 18's

well after putting my truck on hold for about 3 weeks im back at it again, I'm just workin on the door panels and going to have the ready to glass by tonight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Ill post some pics up later

It'll be done before November for sure,

I ended up fiddling around with my alternators and worked more on that than my door panels. I gotta figure out what brand of alts I'm going to use, it's either DC power, or Powermaster alts. I wanna try to have 3 alts installed, 1 for 12v, and then 2 16v alts for batts.

? I've never heard that before, I've seen numerous people with both 12v and 16v alts and they don't have problems, granted, it does depend on if you know how to wire it properly but its really not that hard to do. As long as you have the 16v alts going directly to the 16v batts and you have a proper ground, it should be fine.

but since they currently don't even make a dual alt bracket for the 4.3L engines I have to fab one up, this kinda ticks me off also because I'm trying to beef up the engine as much as possible to help with wall the weight that's going in... meaning that supercharges and turbos are not an option because they would be taking up the viable positions where I could fit the additional alt in.

theres plenty you can do to that 4.3. It is a 350 with 2 cylinders hacked off. All dimensions are the same. Do a head swap or some head porting, add a free flowing exhaust, cam etc.

this should be a sick setup. I always wondered When you open up the back of that truck. When you build the wall in there is it really sealed off? or just semi? the reason I ask is because in my ext cab dakota one 15 xxx on 1100 rms is crazy loud and was thinking if I opened the rear of my truck and add more space in the cab wont it take a lot more power or subs to get the same volume? or will it be like the suv effect? like a small dbl 12 setup sounds loud ?

ok I've been working on my doorpanels, here are some pics
