Before I even start on what my questions are I want to put out what I'm working with so I can help you the best help me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I am going to be getting a 15" Kicker L5, when i first get it, it will be powered by my only amp, a MTX Road Thunder 2200. This is were one of my first questions is, it says like all amps, dependant on what ohms the sub is, how many watts it gets. The amp says bridged it does 425 watts, exactly what does that mean and how do I do that. once I get more money though I will be buying a mono block Power Acoustic 2000 watt amp to power the L5, which will put 870 watts(RMS). I want to have a ported box to hit low, what are good frequency to build for and how do you determine the size to be able to hit that frequency.

Here are demensions

The 2 that are hard to see, the one vertical is 17 1/2", horizontal is 44" across

Find out what your max height could be. Also, is the sub a dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm(this would help with your amp question).

If you are really not sure what you are doing, then buy a design with cut sheets and some one who will help walk you through a build or buy a box. If you find some one willing to work with you(costing a few extra for the that much help I'm sure) then that is the best option.

So is this going to turn to a troll thread or am I going to get some assistance, also the kickers are going to be 2 Ohm. Also what would be the difference between this version and the 4 ohm version

I told you to PM your cell number. I can walk you through the whole build.

I don't give out my cell number over the net man.
Y? Ur ip adress ur using here tells just as much about u. Most of ur questions that are on here can be answered with alittle reading and google. If ur amp does 425 bridged thats probably at 4ohm so ur best bet would be to buy the sub with dual 2ohm coils and wire it in a series~ parallel setup to give u a final 4 ohm load.

There's only one sub, so you can't series-parallel wire anything, just series wire the sub and he'll end up with a 4ohm load. Either that or get a single 4ohm sub.
