quick help with box dimensions please

i built this box, and its too wide for my trunk -.-''

maybe i should of measured ahead of time?

anyway, can someone sketch up this box with a width of 25", and make up for the volume by extending the length ( so it goes further back into my trunk ).

and make up for the port if that would change the tuneing?

What sub(s)? How many?

Measure your trunk and find out what you have to work with. Be sure to check and make sure it will slide into the trunk.

What kind of tuning are you looking for? (music style?...just spl??)

listen mostly to rap, I want the box to pick up a wider range of frequencies, so not strait spl.

the box can be 25" wide, 15" high, 35~'' long (with it beeing able to slide in)

JL recommends a tuning of 30 Hz if ported

nope, the trunk braces will be in the way =/

I hope you are good at cutting out a perfect circle and in the exact spot you need it in. LOL. If you are that close to the top of the trunk you can not place the sub on top. You could do an angled front though.

my sub is faceing twords the rear of the car right now. what is the benefit of the sub faceing upwards?

i use an electric jigsaw to saw a round hole, it worked pretty well on this box, the sub fits in the hole nice n snug without and gaps.

i can build the box shorter, but longer. I own a 99 lumina, the trunk goes back way far... the trunk mounts (angle things that hold it when u open it) are in the way of building a wide box =/
