I have used threaded wood inserts in the builds that involve interchangeable ports. Its basically a "nut" in a way, that screws into the wood. Inside it has threads to accept a bolt. Works very very well, and would probably be your best option.

This was in reference to how Birch grabs better and is stronger to hold subs.

When I said this, I was referring to the way the two seperate enclosures will be mounted together. I was recommending the inserts over having you just screw them together. There is no way I can drill and install them for the woofers and be able to guarantee they will fit/line up correctly. Know what I mean?

BTW, they were scheduled to be picked up by DHL this morning. Ill have some tracking info for you tonight.

In order to answer your question, I would need to know what model (e.g. SW4200, SW7524DVC). Also, are you looking to make a ported box or sealed?
