ok i just got a kicker L7 12 in the mail today and i wired it and hooked it up

my friend picks up the sub to "feel how heavy it is", then puts it in a different spot in my trunk. the spot he put it in caused it to crack right in the center, because when the sub would hit, it would hit a metal thing in my trunk, therefore causing it to crack..point being

IS THERE ANY TYPE OF GLUE OR SOMETHING I CAN USE TO FIX A CRACKED SUB!!!?!?!

the crack is about 1.3 inches long and it is directly in the center of the sub

duct tape will do the job(not recomended), or superglue, some people will say to use silicone but you want the cone to be as stiff as possible

duct tape, lmao...

Whatever you use don't use much of it. You want to avoid adding more weight to the cone as much as possible.

omg i would have picked it up and set (slammed) it back down on his head!!! dude you dont deserve a cracked ass l7!! what did he say "sorry"? ****...

I think we're going to need pictures of the sub to diagnose the severity of the damage, and the spot where your friend put the sub. L7's don't have that much excursion to my recollection, well not enough to come into contact with your trunk. Agian, need pics to understand the full situation.

ok so my friend didnt actually do ****, no one was around lol.

THE BOX ISNT BOLTED DOWN AND I DID A BURN OUT, AND MY SUB MOVED LOL

SO, THE CONE IS CRACKED ALMOST DIRECTLY IN THE CENTER, ABOUT A QUARTER INCH ABOVE THE L7 LOGO, the crack is about 1.25 inches long

i really dont want to buy a new one, i heard i can use fiberglass paper to fix it somehow....i need suggestions

bolting down your box > j00

I've heard of the super glue thing. Don't recall if it worked very well.
