bgowdy's future plan vehicle/build

Honeslty the 105a that they come with stock would probably do a wonder right now lol. The 80a sort of keeps up with just one ever agm in back. Yea i already have the 3k.
yes i know, DD and SQ are father son owned. I just cant see the DD's being in the same price range as the SQ. i dont have any dealers near me so its hard finding one. Also i haae no idea what redline to look at in comparison.

My goal with this is really just a loud daily driver. Dont get me wrong i do compete from time to time for fun, not really to win titles though. I would be happy with a 148db, i see that as doable seeing ive seen other similar setups do 50+ with 4-12s.
I'm usually a fan of less, nicer drivers (2 18s or 15s vs 4 12s) but they all have the potential to get loud. 4 12s in a large box with 2 8" aeroports would be nice

With the 18s though the length(depending on the suv) will become a issue that i dont want to deal with. 15s? meh i want the extra cone due to the class i would be in for Iasca due to the rules for when i do compete lol. Also i have never done a 4-12 build so with 12s i can make the box a smidge smaller then with 2 18s but have close to the same cone as them.

i was thinking 4-12s, 1 12" aeroport in about 8 cubes net(after all displacements), tuned to about 36-38 hz. so looking at about 14.13 inches per cube( its aero, so i dont think i really need that much my self)

Every time for me. I really like more smaller subs but if you can't afford anything good and the fewer subs will hang with your power I'd go with fewer higher end subs. Pair of good 15's or even 1 really great 18. Most of the "team" subs, DC LV6 TSNS/TRF etc. would hang pretty well with a 3K amp.

Again, if you can't afford to get into a better quality sub I'd revamp your plans. I'd trust most of the higher end 2.5" coil subs over the HDS series.

Who told you Explorers don't get loud? Older Jeeps do OK for getting loud...not amazing on gas since the inline 6 is a big motor but they're pretty reliable and not so bad to DIY repairs. Pretty much any SUV can get loud and any without 4X4 can be had for pretty cheap.

No ive seen loud explorers I just read they can sometimes be difficult to get loud. The reason I'm thinking 4 12s is I've never done a build with 4. The 4 hds2 12s should handle the amp fine I would think. After rise they might see 500 watts per sub, maybe alittle more depending on what my rise would be

The reason I like blazers is the overall ease to fix them.

I actually want a Bravada though the interior on them are nicer as well as I like the out side look better

Do yourself a favor, save your money for a month and wait for the deals to come up at SSA Black Friday sale. You can probably get into something far better quality. I really don't like the HDS. If you said almost any other lower end 12 I might get behind you but I don't trust them at all.

In all seriousness the APs do have Mr curious just because. I have seen a few builds that impressed me with them. But I am looking at other subs as well. I know the American Bass XDs are pretty durable for what they are. Hank Veaches truck was very impressive with them

Judge 21 Incriminator Audio 21" 2500W Judge Series - SSA STORE

For the same money I'd put this up against 4 low tier 12's.
