Ask a guy starting his second semester of law school today anything

Maybe i should go to law school instead of grad school.
Is1pimp is making it sound really easy.

Oh and the test for grad school is the GRE.

It has multiple choice AND a written portion.
yea i know, i said B- school though. GRE's are a joke compared to what else is out there, so I did not even mention them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif

I actually have a serious question you might be able to answer for me:

Regarding the right to a speedy trial laid out in the 6th amendment. Im also talking about a traffic citation.

My question is how is that defined to the court of law? I've heard 45 days, but I can't find any outstanding evidence to prove or disprove that information. Everything more refers to it as case by case. So how would I be able to figure out if I could motion to dismiss based on a right to speedy trial, and that I was denied that right?

They don't teach that kind of BS in law school. Pay the dam fine boy.

you are better off asking an actual attorney, but I have no idea about anything constitutionally related because i just started conlaw today, Ask me in a few months and I'll know. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I'd say they would figure it out by using case law though

You got caught, pay up. Its a fricking citation, it can't be that expensive.

I don't think that is true at all.

Getting a 950 on the GRE might be easy, but i bet getting a 1550 is no joke.

Like getting a 140 isn't difficult, but getting a 165 is.

lol, true. I did much better on the SAT's than I did on the LSAT though. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/redface.gif.62fdbfe1a101588a808c4cff71bcb942.gif Still though, the LSAT was the worst most horrible test I have ever taken in my life, not even remotely comparable to the SAT. Law school is nowhere near as bad as the LSAT was however, if so I probably would have dropped out by now.

I'm still waiting for the link from your school saying the mean salary for graduating students is $80k...
I believe flip is as well.
i don't want to post it because I want to retain my privacy on here, since most schools only have about 300 students in the 1st year program. But even if I posted it, there is still the variable of how many % grads are reporting it, so that wouldn't really solve much. I just hope my school is honest with the way they are reporting it.

Well it's 75 bucks. You have the attitude that most do. Its only 75 bucks, ill just pay it and get over it. What you dont realize is that it can raise your insurance over the next 3 years and end up costing you more then 300 in the long run. Especially in my age group, my insurance is high enough already. I have 3 tickets on my record, all of which will be gone in February, as it was 3 years ago now. But I don't want this on to be on there at all.

I never took any high school aptitude tests

I didn't even graduate from high school.

Make my 1140 look proud.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm contemplating law school right now. I'm just not too sure if I want to incur the debt.

And the LSAT....was it really that hard. I've taken 3 Pre-tests and haven't even studied and got a 155 and two 160s. How is the actual compared to the Pre-tests?
