hey guys ..

right now i have 2 AQ hdc3 12's off of two AQ 2200's

i want something different, so im selling both the subs and 1 amp,

That leaves 2200 watts of power,

Im looking at something like a single BTL 15 or 18, which recomends 2000 watts RMS

or like two kicker 15" l7's off 2200 watts ,

have around 5-6 cubes to work with, along with the 2200 watts,

And i want it to real low .. the AQ's dont drop down low enough for me ,

any other options out there ? looking for a price range of 400 or so ..

Where you using a sealed or a ported cab?

A ported enclosure will not play freq's below it's ported freq. All lower freq sounds are cancelled out thru the port.

Try sealing the port by stuffing some foam rubber pads in the port. I bet it will get lower. You will lose that boost at 39 Hz, but it should get lower.

In general if you want low, go for a sealed cabinet.

A larger sealed cab will also (usually) get lower than a smaller cab, with the trade off of reducing power handling ability.

I'm thinking of trying a suburban rebuild where I would like a pair of 18's in a large sealed cabinet. Probably Fi Q 18's in 16 cubic feet sealed. That should get very low.

Not exactly true. Explain why those of us that compete with small trucks peak around 40-46ish while those with suv's peak about 47-51hz.

Edit: I see now that you are talking about cabinets and not cabins. My bads.
