x2 on taking the extra few minutes to tape off the top/bottom, so you're not gluing over paint. Glue is now bonded to the paint and not the wood and has little strength.
Also it looks like you did 16^2 per cube of port area, so you're tuned around 33Hz with that port length...

Steve should be happy as I heard his box didn't turn out so good.

Port Length is 22" if I recall correctly

Port is 2" wide

Since Im not an amazing box designer, atleast not yet, I used RE Audio's L Port Calculator to figure out the dimensions. Thats where I got the 1.44 @ 38hz, The double baffle took away a bit from the cubes but not much.

Also It held up good to the hdc3 10 @ 2kw and if it does blow apart from the paint Id fix it for free.
