Any issue with sub distance from wall?

Basically the subs will be inverted and wanted to know if they can sit just clear of the bottom wall? It will be flush double baffled inverted

I dont think it will really matter but wanted to ask before i make a mistake.

either you are confused or i'm confused. inverted means that the sub is not inside the box. it is mounted with the cone facing insind the box, motor out of the box.

exactly correct

so I' asking if the sub can be right next to the floor of the box, obviously inverted. So the rubber surround will be inside the box and the rim of the sub will basically be touching the floor.

I dont think it matters just asking.

what are the dimensions of you box, im still a little puzzled here, sorry. but yes it matters

The box is large enough with the subs inverted, 4 cubes

But I want to have the subs facing the cabin(inverted) and run vertical ports through the stock 6x9 holes

the issue is having the back seats(when up) clear the exposed magnets. So as low as I can mount the subs in the box will give me the most clearance with the back seat while keeping the trunk sealed from the cabin.

I, personally, would give it a few inches of clearance, but then again if it were me I'd build as many boxes as it took to sound how I wanted.

Use the same rule that applies to leaving the motor inside the box (not inverted). Assuming your sub has a pole vent, try to leave at least as much room from magnet to wall as is the diameter of the vent.
