amp setting Q

You should try setting them both by ear so that your sub blends well with your front speakers. Try starting around 75hz for the low pass filter and the phase setting at 0 degrees. It also depends on how steep your crossover is, 24db or 12db or 18db etc

 
I would not use the bass eq turn it off or just leave it at 0db's. This is just a way to boost or equalize a certain frequency range. You can try it but it is certainly not neccessary.
x2, but all bass boost is bad;)

It can actually help flatten a curve or whatever it's called with an enlcosure with a high F3.
