You should not need an Isolator. Most are for RVs and or camping Vans ect.We used one in my brothers off grid van for 3 AGM Duracells and left the other AGM under the hood. Also wired up Solar charging ect.For two batteries or even 6 Ive ran,, No need for an isolator.. It may create some issues switching back and forth when power is needed.i just watched a you tube video, about the use of battery isolators, if you run dual batteries. i was wondering what type if any that you recommend and if they are worth it.
No need for one in the vehicle for the audio system.Work great for RV and campers though.what do you know about battery isolators? do i need one and which brand or size?

been following your advice, it all makes sense so far. i appreciate the help, really.Sure man. Keep it simple Id recommend
I have removed them before... late 80's Buick, Cutlass or Monte Carlo... I don't remember which one it was but they are literally just the springs that hold the trunk up. Remove them, it will still open and close, it will just not stay open on it's own. Some cars you can buy small struts and retro fit them out of the way to hold the trunk up.has anyone ever removed torsion bars from trunk lid, and if so, what problems or lack of problems did you run into. they block me from boxing in the trunk, or at least seem to. will the lid still close correctly if i remove them?
99% of all car batteries have some type of vent holes to keep from building up heat and pressure to keep from exploding. Some even come with vent holes on the side to plug in a vent tube like in a BMW ,Audi,Lexus and few other vehicles. They also come with a small plug to cap off the vent holes as wellgood call.. are they sealed
They literally just hold it up. The trunk itself, when closed, rest on the weather strip around the trunk which cushions and seals it.as long as it closes right and doesnt leak, then i am going to cut them off. i saw somewhere, that there is a spring you can install so it stays open.
