American cars vs. Japanese cars

Don't get me started on that bunk goat!! The 5th gen camaros are based off of that garbage platform, making that division of chevy the most retarded design group in the game! They might as well have made it front wheel drive!
Oh well, at least the Volt is doing alright. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Not like they are catching on fire or anything.
no... ****** ams

I just picked up a 99 Honda CRV,and it is pretty decent for what I paid for it..has 162K..my 98 chevy has 229K, have a 90 240sx that I bought new, and threw a rod in it @140mph,with 364K, and still will turn over/not ceased up..Have to say though..90-93 Acura Integras 5spd, has been the best cars Ive ever owned
I call bs on that car going 140, they hit a wall above 100mph and max out in the upper 120s, they simply do not make enough power to overcome the aerodynamic drag that would be created at such a high rate of speed. We maxed one out trying to keep up with an SRT4/01 stang GT race from a roll on the highway.

get a Hummer H2. you can find 08 and 09 models with very low miles on them for about 30kishwithout any mods you can expect 14 to 18 mpg with the GMC 6.2L engine.

i have an 03 H2 that is just over 100k miles with a GMC 6.0L. i see no problems putting 300K+ on it, but i am hoping the engine craps out so i have an excuse to throw a big block in it.

Wife has been looking for a new SUV recently.

She really wants a Jeep Wrangler, but hates the 4dr models.

Audi SUV/crossovers are decent, but havent driven one yet

Range Rover is very nice

Ford Edge - my parents have one and the wife really liked the look and all the options available and not too pricey.
I hope that's a troll attempt. Because anyone with a brain would know that the H2 is a god-awful, absolute pathetic excuse for a Hummer.

Never driven an Audi SUV, but it is German, so I'd suspect stupid maintenance costs, low warranty coverage, overpriced parts, and early failure of basic electrical stuff like motors. I only assume those issues because they are the same ones my family had with their BMW collection. While the X5 was a fun and rather versatile vehicle, the build was an absolute joke as the parts failed and BMW charged Rolls Royce prices to replace and fix them and avoid any warrant coverage.

Range Rover was decent. VERY big, and absolutely packed with some features, it really slacked on more basic luxury features. And the back seat was one of the most uncomfortable seats I've ever sat in with the poorest headrest design I've ever experienced. I thought maybe it was just because I was tall, but everyone in my family had the same comments. It's a very driver oriented vehicle though, exceptionally comfortable. And user friendly when laying down seats and what not.

Between my dad and I, we have 9 Chevy vehicles, most of which have over 150k miles on them. No major issues whatsoever. Yeah....
Are they all newer, cus he specifically singled out newer Chevys.

I am happy with Honda/Acura and Toyota/Lexus. Great resale speaks volume to build quality.

Nissan, eh. Fun to drive, wouldn't want to maintain them.

Infinity, beautiful but the sticker is high and service is at a cost.

Ford has impressed me lately, but jury is still out on longevity of their new business model.

You couldn't pay me to own a Chevy made in the last 30 years, but before 1981 I would be happy in almost anything they made. I know many people happy with some of their offerings.

Dodge is too **** inconsistent. You may get lucky, may not.

Kia and Hyundai have interesting offerings, but they hit price points with simplicity and cheap materials.

If you are curious about quality, look at resale value (%) across the brands in the type of vehicle you are looking for.

No, I did not read 5 pages of banter to sort through for your specific market.

My $.02

CRV's are awesome arent they?

Thank you, the 4th gen F-bodies were the last decent cars they made with the exception of the vette.

Yeah, I doubt he has put 150k on 9 vehicles that were produced in the last 2 years. I could be wrong though.

high resale doesnt mean high build quality, means demand , from fan boys and whatever other reasons people choose to spend 2 or 3 k less then new on a used car
