American cars vs. Japanese cars

and german cars are very well built but when something does fuck up (which it will nothing last's forever) it will cost you an absolute fortune to fix it.
Meh. They're ok.

Exes Audi had 3 door windows go out. Heated seats, cruise control, alternator, and head gasket. Only had 108k '99

Now she's got a 96 vdub vr6

Both rear windows don't work, alarm fails, door lock mechanism went out, $60 relay,

Meh. Not my thing

Hey my vette is just fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
Lol, the vette is about the only decent car they make. The Malibu, Impala, Camaro, Sonic, Volt, and Cruze are all garbage. As far as sports cars go though, i'll stick with my GT500. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Now I would say the early C4 Corvettes were built shitty, but got better on in the 90's. I should know, I have one of the older ones. What fucking moron at GM decided that it would be a good idea to make the gas pedal mount out of plastic is beyond me. What would be the #1 thing you'd put all your force of your foot on in a car like that? Dumbasses.

Newer Honda is fine, it's only the newest gen of Civic that is cheapened. Even the CEO admitted they cheaped out on those and are trying to redeem themselves, especially with the new gen Accord, which is getting lots of love from the press

Subaru or KIA would be my picks for over sea companies, Hyundai makes some good new cars too
KIA is JUNK....grandfather has a 4 year old KIA that's already falling apart from rust and he's dropped THOUSANDS into it for repairs...

Nissan, toyota and honda make some of the most reliable cars out there...step dad has an 02 camry that has 300k+ miles on it with hardly any repairs. Before that he had a nissan pathfinder that had 350k+ miles with minimal repairs and the only reason it died was cause they use so much salt up here on the roads that it was rusting out the strut towers (which Nissan did a recall for, even though the vehicles are 15 years old). I haven't owned a honda personally but I think it's pretty well known that they will run for hundreds of miles.

i beg to differ they were nice up to about 08 then they went cheap as hell on civic & accord. The FIT is about the biggest piece of shit on the road too.

and dodge trucks burn through some water pumps too they are really really bad about those.
Never had an issue with one, ever. Like I said before, my dad has put 300k+ on two now('95 with the 318, and '03 with the 5.7hemi). He has done literally zero maintenance on either one besides oil changes and the usual stuff you replace every 30/60/100k. Same with mine...
