i beg to differ they were nice up to about 08 then they went cheap as hell on civic & accord. The FIT is about the biggest piece of shit on the road too.

and that's what i'm saying. The last gen the cheaped out, but it seems like they're trying to avoid that route now, starting with the new gen accord

Just broke 160k on my current one, had 150k on my first before I sold it...dad has put over 300k on both of his.

Yeah, the FIT is absolute garbage. I put about 2k miles on the one for the building department when I was interning at City Hall. Absolute crap. Underpowered and cheaply built. Didnt even get that good of gas mileage since I had to put it to the floor just to not get beeped at when leaving stoplights.

Never had an issue with one, ever. Like I said before, my dad has put 300k+ on two now('95 with the 318, and '03 with the 5.7hemi). He has done literally zero maintenance on either one besides oil changes and the usual stuff you replace every 30/60/100k. Same with mine...

idk i speak from my experiences and we have had to change alot. but i do like the trucks.

All gassers. I had the 360 and current is 1/2 ton with a 5.7, dad had a 318 and current is a 5.7(in a 3/4 ton too). My next will have a Cummins though, no doubt about that...wish they still made the 5.9 though.

yea a good friend of mine was a honda tech for 5 years he had to rebuild at least 40 heads on those engines they are fucking trash.

I was joking myself, I'm not a huge ford fan. I prioritize reliability over power any day, and I just haven't seen that many fords or even domestics in general that can support that. Most have ****** problems before like 150k.

Let me just set it straight for the record that I don't think all domestics are bad, however the majority I have seen favor power over longevity. There are exceptions, like you said

Only thing I'd buy from Ford would have to have a 7.3 in it.

Had an accord that was babied till I got it ran like a champ at 190k till it was totaled

my moms accord had like 50k on it and alt went and a few other issues

My old blazer is still driving around has to be near 200k walled with 18's 12's when i got rid of it at 165ish ran like a champ never had any issues with it

work truck is a 08 silverado 68k on it never had any major issues with it and i beat the **** out of it

just bought a new 12' silverado for personal use the 5.3 is sluggish compared to the 4.8 cause of the ******'s 4 speed on the 4.8 and 6 on the 5.3

co workers wife has a versa thats been burning oil since 20k

My dad had 2 older dodges from the 90's and 2000, both had trannys go under 100k one at 65k, now he has a tacoma and loves it

Get what you want, dont buy new if its not exactly what you want find one used if you cant afford new, The old saying stands true you get what you pay for if u buy a car thats was 12k out the door brand new its most likely a rock guts pos

Newer Honda is fine, it's only the newest gen of Civic that is cheapened. Even the CEO admitted they cheaped out on those and are trying to redeem themselves, especially with the new gen Accord, which is getting lots of love from the press

yeah.. the civics just hit the drain after 05 even IMO. accords are nice. i want an 00 coupe, and a 06 sedan bad. everyone i know who has one complains of the cheap toy feeling it has. pitty. FIT is garbage.

why so? mitsubishi is iffy. dont get me wrong, i love me an evo or a galant.

but the eclipse motors the 4ag20 i believe get knock often. buddies gone through three motors to this day with 160k on the tach.

the diamante had motor issues iirc as well.
