American bass vfl 200.1 keeps going into protect......

very true massive spl.....is he doing 151+ on music or burps? And do you by chance know how many watts he's pushing to the nsv3? And would I have to do a wall in order to achieve 150+? Cause i've never had a wall and I prefer to use my rear view mirror lol

Lol it's a trunk wall so you can use your mirror still. He had lots of power on it and pretty sure music. He's a member on caraudio classifieds. Let me see if I can find a video

Ah gotcha lol....**** that's bad ***, do you possibly have a link to the for sale thread for the nsv3?....I tried searching through the classifieds but I couldn't find it....or was it for sale on another forum?

Yeah that's what I was thinking lol....I'm just going to stick with my hdc3's then and hopefully get another battery so I can run my amp to its full potential, and the subs lol

thats the plan... I'm gonna be tuning really high with my next box for 4 hdc3 18s. Adjustable tuning, 37.5hz for daily, 44.5hz for competitions, and 29hz for lows

Why did you chose to tune at half? Just curious, I've never really heard of tuning at halfs, is there any advantage? I just re tuned my box to 34Hz earlier and they definitely didn't like it. They sound the same actually, there was maybe two songs that sounded slightly louder with the low notes but other than that I didn't notice a difference at all....they seemed a little quieter but at the same time they also sounded like there was no changed in the tuning, if that makes any sense? Lol....I'm going to change it to 36hz and see how they perform

With tuning bro, you'll never get your exact tuning. every 0.1 cubic feet of airspace will change your tuning, every centimeter of the port will change your tuning. 44 and a half doesnt really matter that much. Its just what works in the calculations and space given

Take pics of your box setup and how it looks in the car, is it still too tall for the car? use imgur.com

Btw, Fk the 36, go with 38hz if you want a real difference.

Yeah I tuned it to 38 and I definitely noticed a huge difference, now if I could only find another battery in Craigslist so my amp will quit going into protect after 10 minutes of playing at full tilt.....it pisses me off so much lol. Normally I wouldn't use a cap but do you think it would help temporarily? I've got one laying around that I got for free about a year ago

No a old cap laying around will not help... Sounds like your amp is getting to hot and over heating if you can use it for 10mins before it protects... Is the amp super hot when it protects? If that's the reason then your setting are wrong and your prly clipping some and causing the amp to heat up a lot. That amp should run all day long if it's set up correctly

It does get warm I noticed, and when I was adjusting the gain after I would turn it past half I could hear a slight buzzing noise until I turned it down below half
