American bass vfl 200.1 keeps going into protect......

I just recently bought a vfl 200.1 and I was reading online that it's .5 ohm stable if you have the electrical to back it. Well two days ago I was finally able to get my high output alternator, I decided to get a mechman 240 amp alternator. I received it in the mail, took me 9 hours to install the **** thing. I really hate chrysler pacifica's for that reason lol. Very poor alternator location. I'm pushing two hdc3 18's with the amp. I've got an optima red top under the hood and two of the big optima yellow tops in the back, the one's that you see in big machinery like caterpillers. I've got 0 gauge running from the front battery to the two in the back, 0 gauge power wire to the amp, 4/0 for the ground. I also did the big 3 in 4/0.....I also used my clamp meter to set my gains properly. So my question is....why is the amp going into protect if I have the electrical to back it now?

Ok so I set my gain again, and my clamp meter was reading 45 volts consistently using a 50Hz test tone from a bass mekanik cd, not sure on what db the cd is recorded at, but bass boost is off on the amp and hu. The bass is set to 0, and it still goes into protect at volume 30

Yes I put the leads into the power and ground and set the multi meter to V....and it said .95 at 30 which is 75% of my max volume.
That sounds like the AC voltage off the speaker terminals.

They want you to measure the input voltage coming from the battery into the +/- DC terminals of the amp.
