IMO opinion this thread shouldn't be deleted...I understand there are alot of scammers out there...and yes that sucks azz. However the witch hunt that took place today was extremely insulting and by no means nessecary. There is no easy way to find a scammer that I understand, but this post should be a good reminder of how NOT to do it. Again that is just my opinion...and since I dont have 2K posts im sure it doesnt account for anything.

And quite honestly, if you did not want to accept Pat's terms then, in my opinion, you could have just politely said no thank you. There really was no reason for your friend to send the nastygram in the first place.

So, it really is time for you guys to get off your high horses.

I think that Mike has apologized several times now. Enough is enough.

If you want an apology from anyone else, you should not hold your breath. We have seen how graciously you guys accept apologies.

The next time someone makes an offer that is not to your liking -- just say no thanks. Sending the potential buyer a pm similar to the one sent here is borderline harassment.

Wow...."playing the victims" eh? your right no one jumped to conclusions on this thread...and that half *** apology doesn't count for much, when he criticizes me in the same breath then goes on to edit a post of his and mine where I quoted him, to make it look like he originally said something he did not. Not to mention follow it up with a threat to ban me.

Sometimes I think these little forum clicks develop and even when someone in the little group gets out of line, no takes the moral high road and calls them on it, simply because of their association. I don't get it.

But I do agree, enough is enough, lets drop it.

I really would like you all to at least keep the thread unlocked so when the buyer's get their stuff they can post. If nothing else Malevolent deserves a clear name.

Well, I don't know what the point of posting all of that was supposed to have been. I think it was always understood that it was your friend's e-mail that started all the whackiness.

In any case, the two emails posted above is probably where it should have ended. It looks like to me that you have two (probably perfectly honest) people trying to protect themselves due to scamming scum that exist on these forums as well as everyday life.

I did not see Pat going off on you. WTF was the reason for the harsh pm to Pat? You can try to change this around all you want but, IMO, that is where this got of hand.

Let me be clear, and I have already stated this to Pat in a PM (where it belongs):

If I would have know that it was commonplace on this forum for people to actually ship a product to someone with nothing in exchange based on the almighty "refs" then I wouldn't have bothered PM'ing him, and I apologized to him for it.

This doesn't change the fact that I still find the whole idea completely ridiculous, but if ridiculous is the norm around here, thats fine.

I was insulted by what he was doing because IN ANY NORMAL SITUATION THAT IS A RIDICULOUS REQUEST. Now I find out that is just how some people on here operate, ok then, thats fine.

And any crap you post about me harassing him is a bunch of bull, I sent him one PM, left it at that. Now if you would have sent more than one maybe I could understand your point, but i did not.
