zebo, you need to understand he was asking for your friend to ship first due to the increase of scamming on this specific forum. Its gotten bad recently, and he didnt want it to happen to him. If you and your boyfriend have a problem with what he requests, theny stop being a pu ssy and simply negotiate with him. But when you freak out the way you did, no one is gonna wanna do deals with you.

^^this is more of who should give an apology. Your poor understanding of ip addressing lead you to wrongly conclude that someone is a scammer, congratulations.

im sorry, if scamming didnt happen on a regular basis around here people wouldnt jump to conclusions, and as far as what we can see on our side, you 2 share an ip. we dont know you guys work together. not like we have your life history on here.

If you didn't know know that we work together, and that him and I and a few THOUSAND other people will show up as that IP address, then perhaps you shouldn't jump to conclusions about whether we are the same person or not. If you want to go digging up IP addresses without understanding NAT'ing then you should think twice before you post....

The problem with comprehension rests on you end, let me be real ****ing clear here: YOU should not assume that we are the same person because YOU don't understand that there is a possiblility that the addresses could be NAT'd and that we are simply on the same non public network. Read malevolents link on NAT and you will understand. I have no obligation whatsoever to inform you or anyone else that we work at the same place just incase you want to make assinine accusations based on information that you are obviously not qualified to understand.

Don't put the cart before the horse here, you post up your "proof" and get corrected, I have no obligation in hell to tell you beforehand (nor would i know to) that we will be showing up on the same IP on your "system".

By the way, if you would have at least know how to see who the IP was registered to, you may have guessed that it was "one guys computer".

fyi, i did search for that ip address, there were only 2 names that came up unlike the thousands you claim there should be. now if you are saying that there are thousands of people at your work that share that ip, well i dont have access to that. i only have access to the forums ip database.

and yes, i know how to do a whois search, however i was simply stating a fact that the 2 of you share an ip. keep up your attitude and i'll be happy to give you a vacation.

Being that it is a government alloted scope I doubt there are a whole lot of car audio fanatics that work for the state, so you only seeing two addresses come through resolve back to that address isn't suprising.

You posted that we had the IP EVERYONE jumped to the conclusion that we were the same person and you did NOTHING to correct them or even suggest that there was a possiblity of us not being same person.

If you want to ban me to keep me from telling the truth, go ahead. I haven't lied about anything and you and a lot of the other people jumped to conclusions based on ignorance. I had no way of knowing you were going to check our ips and i honestly don't care if you do, so why would i tell you AHEAD of time that we work together?

Can you just admit that you jumped the gun in posting that, rather than threaten to ban me for pointing some things out?

I can see why you guys are upset, and it's understandable. However, you cannot jump on someone because they want to conduct business in a certain way. Like I said earlier, from my perspective, the original poster was not out of line. There has been a TON of scamming on our forum, and not much can be done to prevent it, save smart buying/selling.

IMO opinion this thread shouldn't be deleted...

I understand there are alot of scammers out there...and yes that sucks azz. However the witch hunt that took place today was extremely insulting and by no means nessecary. There is no easy way to find a scammer that I understand, but this post should be a good reminder of how NOT to do it. Again that is just my opinion...and since I dont have 2K posts im sure it doesnt account for anything.
