all electrical upgrades= still dimming.

You'll need another battery. No way around it. There is certain things that just have to happen. And in this case 1 or 2 extra bats are needed. Either that or you might wanna see about getting a smaller system.
got **** it. i was trying to avoid this ****. idk why everyone else can run similar watted systems or higher and be good with stock alt big three and good battery, yet i need to go all out.

do you guys think a different brand battery could possibly do it? or maybe just a bigger batt up front that can hold a better charge? i have a kinetik 1800 maybe a 2000?

If you do get another batt pull the kinetik inside and get a new starting battery. Kinetik batteries are not meant to be starting/outside batteries.
i guess i can just get a small optima red top for the front and keep kientik for back

aite some people were telling me to check my grounds. and ive checked them, re-sanded them and made sure they were nice and tight. i feel like they are good grounds but here are some pics, might be a little hard to tell but i guess doesnt hurt to get an oppinion on the grounds (lol yes i know its just a ground but this dimming is driving me nuts) need to make sure verything is good. especially b4 i go out and buy a new battery.

grey= sub amp

blue= capacitor to full range

with simple theory it shouldn't be able to put out high amperage at low rpm...
and most alts wont put out full amperage at idle //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
They use underdrive pulleys...(Spins the alt at a higher RPM than a normal size pulley, like idling at 1500 RPMS instead of 800 etc)

Was hard to tell if you upgrded your alt wire? Sure you did. What about your upgraded ground to chasis or frame from battery? All those connections are juat as important as the ones close to your amp, this si where your ground is originating from. You also said you did not wanna make runs to the back of your rig with the big wire, what size is gopin back there now for you amps?

try exxcesiveamperage.com maybe you could use a bigger alternator this guy builds them from hand and puts out 300 amps across the entire rpm range itstead of the guys at powerbastards.com there 220 amp alt only puts out 110 amps at idle and full 220 amps at 1400 rpms were did you get your alt. from?
i have an EA alt installed RIGHT NOW and it's not putting out 300a. i have to keep the rpms up at a light for it to be on, and that's with the smallest pulley available. other than that tho, it's been solid for 2 years.

Still doesn't mean an alt will put out full.power at idle. If that's the case what your saying, then the alt is fine. Mfr rate there Alts somewhere in the 4-5k rpm range. Therefore if 800rpm is LIKE 1500rpm, then the full power the alt does stfu 1800rpm is very similar to around 3800rpm ish.

I am having a similar issue, I have the big 3 upgrade and then some, a 250 amp HO alt, redtop in the back, interstate under hood, and an ap30001d amp. I still get dimming, and an occasional amp cutting out. BUT, u just learn to deal with it. I, like you, have gone over everything, and the only thing I can think of is wrong with mine, is I need two new batteries, and I cant afford them right now.

You need more than a red top for 3k, the amp cutting out is from low voltage. Red Tops are about useless anyway.
