Added nitrous to my car.

So how much do you have into your GTO including the cost of your car? How much horsepower and what kinda times does it run? Compare that to what it would cost for a honda, I bet it wouldn't even take half the money to build a honda with more horsepower and faster lol.
I'm not saying this way is better or that way is better, it's just cheaper. If I had $100,000 to drop on a car I would be driven a twin turbo lingenfelter corvette.
As said it's like trying to compar apples to oranges. A GTO (sports/muscle car) is built to go fast. While a Honda is made to get you to point A to point B while getting good fuel economy. Two different cars built for two different purposes. This is why I find it funny for people to take a Honda (or car built for the same purpose) and try to make it fast.

What does it matter how much my GTO cost me, or how much I've spent on mods? I bought the GTO seeing as how I was looking for an already fast car to make it faster. On top of that I wanted something new, reliable, comfortable, spacious and something that could be a sleeper.

Horse power pretty much means nothing, torque is where it's at. I've never really been much to care about dyno #'s, it's just a tool to dial in your car anyways IMO. Therefor I don't know what kind of power my car is making and I do not care. If you are really running 12.6 & 107 you couldn't keep up in a straight line or in the twisties.

Yes you can buy older Hondas for dirt cheap. They have a lot of cheap aftermarket parts and you can make them decently fast for a pretty good price. It is not HP that wins races though, it's torque (IMO) and Hondas don't know about that. Either way, fast of not fast, they will still own a Honda //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I know some people with some fast cars, yes even some Hondas. I'll give respect to where respect is due, as long as they are not a jackass.

because i think alot of it is more the machine than the driver (not all), its too linear for me, and its over too quickly. not to mention people brag about times that really dont mean much, way to often.

and i like going on a track and knowing even if i dont have a setup that stacks upto other peoples on any given day i can still wipe the track with most of my competitors regardless, simply by utilizing my cars streights and weakness's as well as mine. i dont think there is enough of that in drag racing. i dont mean to offend the sport, that is simply my perspective.

^^^For real. lol. GTO's can be difficult to spot from a distance though.
Heh, you don't know how many times I asked "is that your G6". Even with the car being pretty loud people still don't see it as being fast... looking kind of like a G6 and all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

i would love to have a GTO, but i like the 04ish style's exhaust and hood better. It would be a nice car to have, only have to bump it up 125-150hp and be done with the engine. In fact if i had one i might just do I/H/E then a port job and throw in some balanced pistons, rods, etc. cams blah blah. to get it more free reving and free up some hp.

The only problem is where the gastank is located it makes it difficult to have a sub. so i'd probably have to mount the sub somewhere in the cabin.

I would spend way to much on the suspension though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

but that wont stop me from dreaming about it.

I know, I know you don't have to tell me.

You would think 100-150 more HP would be enough, though then when you get use to it you want MORE MORE MORE!

I'm thinking about buying a custom glass box (for the trunk), 10" W7 and an Eclipse DA7122 amp for $550. Though at the same time the sub will be in the trunk cuz I'm too lazy to make anything for it. BAH!

Overall it's a nice car, nothing is perfect //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Haha you better start eating shit then. Have you never heard of tuning before? A honda could make 3 times that amount of power and still get 30mpg.
Wow, now everyone knows your a tool *** liar //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

i really think even 550 hp would be a little bit too much for that car on a track. but a little bit too much can turn into alot of fun real quick.

went go kart racing today, by the way. never been in a real one before (always been in those queer ones at the golf course or whatever). What a blast! i was timid at first but once the tires warmed up and i knew the boundrys my laptimes got alot better. my laptime was 5 seconds less on the 1's lap then it was on the 10th. and i was just getting it down. My brother ***** me though, but he goes to that track all the time.

go karts FTMFW!

No I'm not you moron. It can easily be done. The best way to do it would be 8 injectors, 4 injectors for normal driving which can be tuned for great gas mileage and idle, then 4 injectors that come on when boost hits. Enough fuel to flow 700whp, yet while crusing down the highway you still get 30mpg since your only running on 4 smaller injectors.

Here's proof dipshits... http://forums.evans-tuning.com/viewtopic.php?t=185
