pretty sure its not real wood. I talked with cass over at dd and he said the way they do it is they print the design on rice paper then laminate it over the std. cone. Same way they been doing the cones on teh 9900s for the past few months.

the guy i talked to about my new subs said it's real wood, and was a special order.

so we need someone to call and ask

also it's a rapper they are stupid and have a ton of money to blow.

This is what Steve Milton said when I was talking to him:

The sub on the front page is a 9115 red oak wood grain with variegated gold leaf DD logo and hand pinstripe under the clear coat. All that and it still weighs less than the standard 15” cone and dust cap.

Definately a composite cone, not real wood. I bet the guy at DD that told you it was real wood is getting a real laugh out of this thread. LOL

A manager at Lowe's put wood floors in his house for around $350.

It's for Paul Wall... supposedly he was impressed hearing some DD's and wanted to order it...

But, he was wanting diamonds on the cone.....
