'98 Neon R/T kinda SQ build.

what are u gonna do with ur amp? fiberglass too?
I'm probably going to tub the amps into the rear seat, painted to match with some sort of trim. I have JL amps so they're silver and black. Should match up pretty well.

I lied. I started the amp rack tonight:

That's where I left off tonight.

NICE WORK! Dont see that too often. As for the box, Love it. But I dont like the trim peice on it, makes it look cheezy. Grille is kewl, but man you cant even tell its an old school Solobaric in there, thats a bummer.. Keep taking your time, you have some skills!!

Only thing you shoud have done is not remove all the cover from the back of the seat when you cut it out. Should have left it bigger than the hole so you could fold it over the seat guts that will be showing once the rack is in.

Now that it's on there, I'm not sure about it. I'm thinking about trimming it down. I want *something* on there to insinuate the tire, but I think it's a little bigger than I need it to be. I'm gonna roll with it for a little while, but I'll probably change it. I might cut it down to like 3/4" wide instead of the like 1 3/4" it is now. I kinda wish I could show of the Solo too...maybe it'll show through more when I make the grill from Plexi.

Nah, I planned it that way. I designed the amp rack so there will be a lip on the rack *and* a painted trim piece, so you'll never see it anyway. I didn't want to have to pull the seat, take it apart and remove the plastic. I don't have all the tools I'm used to, so alot of this stuff is more difficult than it should be. If I had a table saw I'd save a ton of time, vs. cutting with a jig saw and then using the router to straighten it out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I've reworked the amp rack design in my head about 10 times and every time it gets simpler to assemble with pretty much the same look.

Thanks for the comments!
