8" sub recommendation

I'm looking for a single 8" that can handle around 300 watts at 2 ohms (I have a 300 watt 2 ohm amp) i've been looking at the image dynamics id8 the ed8 and a few others what do you guys recommend? oh also didn't we use to get a deal on that ed 9kv.2 i remember it being like $50 or is that deal over now? I'll be running it in a .35 sealed box

Oh yeah, i'd rather not spend much over $100

yeah i was looking at that one too. also what about a cdt ef80 out of all of these which one offers the best sq, and can they all handle 300w?

my dad had a kicker L5 8" sub in his 4 door chevy running off of about 200 watts and the sq was amazing i would recommend this sub to you

Yeah, but I've already got the box and it is round so that wont work. What ever happened to the new ascendant audio 8's?

the rl-i looks really nice but its a little above my price range.

Correct me if Im wrong, but isn't the rl-i out of production, with no estimated return date?

So why does everyone recommend a sub you can't buy? And even if you were lucky enough to find one used, sure as hell wouldn't get it for $100.

as much as i do not like eD the 8 is an ID based driver and has pretty good Q. i had two in a 1 cu ft ported box @ 28Hz and it was SOLEEEED! ID makes outstanding drivers. while i have never actually heard the AA they are supposed to be SQ based and coming from Scott at Fi i am sure they would be very nice as well. i have 6 RE8s and for the money they are ok, but SQ is lacking. like AH mentioned above.... why does everybody keep recommending a driver that is not currently available?
