5k watt build decisions - seeking help

What subs are those? And that's fine, but I'm not trying to save money. I am partially biased to these brands based on appearence and attraction. Now if everyone attacked me here saying both ideas are terrible and will disappoint me I might change my mind! Haha. Also I want 15's. Nothing smaller. Nothing bigger.

I have a family and mortgage. I'm not trying to save money to compromise my first dream build. What that meant in essence was I am not seeking a cheaper alternative. I want what I want. Of course if I see a deal on what I want I will jump on it if given the opportunity. I just won't settle for cheaper alternatives. I want the nicest set up I can get in my truck with no compromises given the woofers I listed.

What do you consider cheaper alternatives? You wanna pay full price for an item you can get a cheaper price for the same item, then that's on you. However, I was merely pointing out that I got my subs far less than if I were to buy them brand new. Same sub. Diff price.

You're not helping me on here man, just judgmental. Stop interrogating me. I want help, not problems. If you can help me get a couple HCCA Orion 15's for less then $460 EACH then point me in the right direction on your next post to this thread.

So what about Alphard Audio? That's a big one. Those Machete Super Sport 15's will definitely be getting some love. Am I on my own for that, too?

What about them? Your talking about a company based out in Russia, and very few dealers are in the USA...but gradually making their way over here.

They use a ti basket so they look nice and will outperform the hcca imo

Idk about the alphard though

My hcca was an older one and on 3k and while it was a low end monster it wasn't as good as a swap to an old re MT. It needed more power to get loud and while it had a nice warm smooth sound to it, it was not as good as soon as I swapped.

Maybe the newer ones are miles better but they still use a heavier cone that will hurt efficiency.

Also unless you don't have the electrical upgrades just wire to 1 ohm

Most amp put out way less at 2 ohm vs 1.

Hcca **** like the rf t2s. Inefficent bottom heavy and don't sound good. The sundown is inefficent and bottom heavy as well but they are definitely a better design.

The deaf bounce looks decent..

Personally I found dead some dd 9500i motors for 400. Two recones with baskets are another 450.

That's two 9518i woofers for under 1 grand that will easily music 153 with the right power. Pretty nasty for 850$

Yes I have especially SSA evil's but more expensive, and more power hungry right? I know there are two branches in the evil line. Will double check. As far as eletrical, I'll be getting more than sufficient charging system. Just need to know what is bare minimum for 5k rms. I was thinking two 270 amp alts that do 169 amps at 700 rpm each.
The newer ones I was told by someone else are not much better. I have no data for that claim so idk. I know impedence differences 1 ohm vs. 2 ohm and all the basics. I am looking at 2 ohm final impedence. I hope to accomplish that with a single amp. 14 volts.

2 ohms? C'mon man...you can do better than that. Electrical for 5K I would do the big 3, a 300 HO alt, and 2 batteries or 3 should be good.
