I'm looking at the Alpine type R 10" subs, and they have a 2ohm and 4ohm model. Which one do I want? I've never really understood all of this ohm stuff.

Stuff I've gotton so far...

HU - Pioneer DEH-P4800MP

Front Speakers - a/d/s/ 5.25 245ix

Rear speakers - stock

So go with the 4ohm sub with that amp? I'll have to figure out all the wiring (4ohm to 2ohm) when I get the sub and am ready to install.

Any opinions on that amp at all? Does it look decent?

this is how your going to wire your sub to get the 2ohm load

Ha, beat you to it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thanks for the help.

THe amp you are looking at is a decent amp. Phoenix Gold makes a good product. Yes, the alpine amp suggested is better, but it is also another 150$ more than you were going ot spend on the PG.
