Overpowering ym Solobaric 15" Sub?

I was planning on purchasing a KICKER SX1250.1 to power my Solobaric 15". My solobaric has 1500 watts peak/750 watts RMS.

Would it damage the sub to power it at 1250 RMS like the amp is? I was told this sub can actually handle up to 1500 watts RMS...

That has alot to do with your box's impedience rise and the method of porting (if its ported which im guessing it is).....remember a sealed box will always increase the RMS handling of your sub naturally by its suspension properties, with vented you dont have that luxery.
