Trying to find an RF, but they're all expensive. Can't find the PG amps on ebay. 300bux is over my budget. I can buy it, but i'd rather not go over the budget i've set out.

The rockfords can be hard to find honestly. They have a 1000bd on there right now I think.

old school MTX 1501d/81000d

makes 1.5kw @ 2 ohms on 14.4v

very solid and under rated. can be had for around $200-250 shipped. and can be modded to take 16v and make ridiculous power well below 2 ohms.

Isn't the 81000d MTX's first generation of Class D amp? My cousin has one and it seems highly inefficient for a Class D design.

AFAIK the 81000 = 1501d.

but i do think the 1501d was the "improved" design. i have nothing to back that up though. just read it somewhere. and the 1000d (i think) is the same as the other 2, but without the compression circuit.

and if you do a quick search in the classifieds... i made a thread when i was looking for my 2nd one. there were a few offered in there. maybe hit them up.

Most amps that are going to put out 1200-1500x1 watts are 2 ohm stable anyway.

That would be a huge NEGATIVE on the assumption that ALL amps are 2 ohm stable.
