hifonics amps true power?

but if i got an amp that says it can do 1600 rms at 1ohm, i am able to set my gain on the amp so that it only does 1000 right?

I happen to have a perfect Brutus 1608, if you still need one? Just a thought....
im actually just gettin ideas for my next system, which wont be for a year or so haha. i was just curious as to whether or not hifonics amp stay true to their advertised RMS output, and some research told me the brutus line get close but the titans not so much.

but thanks anyways man...gl sellin, if you are sellin it that is:)

After all the Hifonics bashing I have done, I considered picking a BXi 2010d because I need 1,000 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. After all, the Maxxsonics dude said the new BXi 2610d produces rated power so I should be able to believe him and apply this reasoning to the BXi 2010d, correct?

QFT:

We removed the chrome and additional 9 LED's and put the money in a new glass pcb, upgraded the the Driver board and better output devices.
This will even further improve the efficiency, reduce heat and extend the life of the amp.

The amp was a huge sucess at CES and they are currently in stock and shipping.

The new GP were also a big hit and got the same upgrades (yes, the new GP3000.1D-Pro has more power).
Thanks for asking.
The BXi2610D is the biggest amp in Brutus at this time.

It is 2600 - 2680 watts RMS tested on an Audio Precision II at 1-Ohm, 14.4v, 60Hz and 1%THD & N.

All of the Brutus amps have changed from 08 to 10 on the last two numbers in the model number.

The older model brutus amps didnt but the 07/08 models got pretty d@mn close.

The 2010 models do rated wrms.

Any actual proof of this besides the word of Team Maxxsonics?
Don't worry though, if I purchase a BXi 2010d I plan to send it to Steve Mantz for bench testing and will post the results:eek:
Lol I just read those quotes after I made my statement. If you check out the circuit board of the 08 models and compare them with the new 2010 models, you'll find out that they have upgraded a significant amount. I know my 08 2600's do about 23ish for like the 1st 5 minutes! Lol then my volts drop...

I forgot to mention, 1 of my amps are actually a little more powerful than the other...they're strapped so there isnt any phasing problems with the subs.

I plan on doing one last SPL setup in my Civic with a pair of dd 1508s. I have been driving myself nuts trying to figure out what amp I am going to use to give me 1,000 to 1,500 watts RMS @ 2 ohms though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Since it is my last SPL setup, I was thinking go as cheap as possible and grab a Hifonics. The only thing holding me back is every time I go cheap, Murphy comes back to bite me in the *** and make me buy twice!

Well that sucks, but if its your last SPL setup...why not save your money for a better quality/more powerful amplifier? I know U.S.Amps have decent amps, Sun down makes pretty decent amps, but if you wanted real power try RD audio.
