2nd vehicle options

Jeeps retain value for sure. It does depend on the models you're looking at though. Any Wrangler model (YJ, TJ, LJ, JK) hold their value like no other. XJ Cherokees do decently as well. ZJ and WJ Grands don't do too well, which is why I got one. A couple years ago when I picked mine up, it was the Jeep I could afford. I don't regret it one bit. WK Grands are still rather new so it's a little tough to say. Newer ones all seem to do alright with resale value. All the classic Jeeps CJs, SJs, full size Jeeps, even a good condition MJ Comanchee do really well in the resale area.

You realize that with 78k miles on any vehicle regardless, that the brakes, rotors, and tires are going to have to be replaced right? Then add a batt and alt to basically any stock vehicle you put a system in. Youre left with the wheel bearing, ***** and tie rods. Being in Michigan with our shittyass roads, tierods are not uncommon. As well as a wheel bearing.

Plus its a Caliber LOL Not hating or hugging dodges nuts just explaining from a different view if you will. Honestly if you want maintenance free go foreign. To each his own.
Slightly more than 3 years old now. System never pulled more than 400wrms out of this thing and was never ran full tilt. Alternator went before I had a system in it. Brakes, rotors, and tires have been replaced twice now. Factory tires came with a 80,000 mile warranty and it burned through 2 sets of them.

Found a couple cars Id love to have. 1989 Iroc Z Camaro. 106,000 original miles, numbers matching, $2500. Only issue is clear coat peal. Second car is an 1987 Nissan 300ZX 2+2. I believe it had 131,000 original miles, 5 speed, for like $2400.

Well Im not sure the Iroc would do any good on gas mileage.

What about anything like this? Its been mentioned before but not sure what you had to say about it.

1999 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE

For a daily car I not get the 300 or camaro.

I would only look into imports. Get something stock and stay away from 95-99 turbo eclipse(or other DSMs) as they get crank walk around the time most sell them. 1st gen eclipses(and other DSMs) are ok, but parts are getting a little harder to find. I don't suggest them for daily though.

Personally I would look into Hondas, Subis, Nissan, or Toyotas....in that order.

FWD will do just fine in most winters if you understand how to drive. Hondas will almost run forever if you take care of them. I have had several that I took well past 200k with minimal maintenance required.

Last on the list would be anything domestic and most any rwd car.

That would be fine. Thats the body style I like. The ones before that are ugly as fuck with the boxed front and rear end.

Nissan is an import.

How about this:

2002 Celica GT - 114K Miles

Nissan is an Import, but i also say stay away from RWD for daily. Also those older 300's are not easy to get parts for. Not to mention most want to upgrade them and run the crap out of them..making it a horrible idea of daily.

Yeah the boxy ones are pretty ugly.
As far as the celica goes, its over your budget and on top of that it may need a *****. Just doesnt sound like a good idea.
I can haggle. Id rather replace clutches than have a whole transmission being rebuilt. Its fairly cheap considering the alternative.

Hey now... I'd like to think my ZJ is pretty bad ass.
