I agree, Defi is definitely great stuff. I'm really happy with the way everything turned out, it was a pricey project (just shy of $600) but in my opinion required.I love defi gauges. I used to own a 94 supra when I lived in Japan and ran all defi. Such a ****, classy and yet still ****** look
Yeah I think I paid like $150 for each of mine. But definitely required in a higher performance boosted vehicle if you want it to last. So much can go wrong in a boosted vehicle that you need to keep check onI agree, Defi is definitely great stuff. Heat shrink over butt connectors?Ok, so here we go again... New car, new system. I didn't finish my last build log, this will get finished because I actually plan on keeping this car. Not going for huge numbers, just a daily beater with some decent sq but who knows what it will evolve to. In the early stages so bare with me.

I tried to solder but the wires on the pioneer were to thin, when I got enough heat to melt the thin solder I was using it melted the insulation as we'll. Perhaps the solder gun I have is a bit heavy for the small jobs, it's a big ol blue point solder gun. I always add shrink tubing to connectors for good measure. At that point why not just solder it?
