Does anyone have experience installing the W205 in a 2004 Sienna??

my local shop thinks I'm SOL but a short net surfing says I have two choices for my 2004 Sienna:

1-- Metra 99-8208

2-- Metra 99-2003

I'd REALLY like to put a W205 in and eventually a blackbird II, if it ever ships. Will either of those kits look OEM or will I have keep looking for something else??.. if so, any sugestions?? Pioneer maybe???//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

The 992003 is not the correct kit for a 2004 sienna. The 99-8208 is a single din kit, and unless completely modified will not work with the double din stereo. You'll either have to get someone to modify that kit, or make a kit from scratch to get it in there.

why couldn't the 99-2003 work though??... I read it as fitting 2003-2005 sienna.

as far as the 8208.. I see now that is is a single ISO... miss read the info..says "some of Metra's turbokits will accommodate 2 ISO mount units or 1 Double Din unit".... GREAT!!... what options now??

can I force the 99-2003 to fit or give up on the double din idea and look at the Apline IVA-D310 or other Mototrized 7'' Screen and hope it doesn't look stupid in a sienna???? ( keep in mind, I'm looking for Navigation feature as well as DVD for the kid'os )

Crx4luke-- thanks for all the help, now I'm confused by the link you sent...

the site KNOWS a sienna is a double din, yet the only kit it sugests is the Metra Electronics Corp. 99-8208

TOYOTA SIENNA 2004-UP... what gives with that??.. can it be converted to double din??

--thanks--

double thanks CRX4LUKE!! :) TOY-K982 Installation Kit from the AIUS link.. will call tomorrow on that. ( got my fingers crossed that I can get the W205 to fit somehow ;-P )

I'd check with American international and see if their kit will allow for a double din. I know for a fact that there is enough room behind that dash to fit one, I just don'w know why a kit manufacturer doesn't produce one. The metra kit isn't going to allow for double din because of the way it is built, but it looks like the AI will. Plus, AI is good about producing double din kits for vehicles before most of the others.
