Should I purchase the installation kit for my Pioneer 9800BT

I am ordering a Pioneer 9800BT from the net and I heard I have to purchase an installation kit on its own.Is it neccessary or does the unit contain the sufficient kit for installing it.

buy it from crutchfield...and theyll usually send you the kit for free

mine came with everything i needed although you know you need to purchase the harness for your vehicle

You will most likely need one but if you buy from certain places online they will include the kit you need.

Sonic Electronix and Crutchfield are 2 I know that usually include it.

Ok can someone tell me what the installation kit is because anyway i will go to a head units shop to install it for me so maybe they have the installation kit.And another question...is the installation kit of this HU different from that of other HU's?

Im sorry I'm a total noob i know i am asking stupid questions

its dependent on your car, you need to take out the stock housing, which usually houses other components as well, and replace it with an aftermarket one

i dunno but i called crutchfield, sonicelectronix, and scosche and they said i dont need a dash kit, only the replacement pocket.

it depends on what kind of car you have...just because your car doesnt need one doesnt mean his wont as well

if your taking it to a shop then just buy the HU, the shop will have everything you need.
