It really depends on what the amp is DESIGNED to do. Most are more efficient at higher impedence, but will give you a lot more output at lower loads. It is generally accepted that higher impedence sounds better.

Typically we're trading off between cost/power output vs. consumption/size/etc.

Id run the JBL at 4 ohms and just do the big 3 with a run of 0 guage to the back, i think thatll keep it happy, and if not then through a cheap battery in the back to keep the volts up.

Does the xtra battery have to be something special like a kenetic or can I just put a lil bat from a 4cyl civic? What would be the required amp specs?
