Power acoustic amp at 1ohm

My subs are prewired to 1ohm I bought an jbl 1000 wat 1ohm stable amp but it's not enough amp I don't have the money to buy another amp but I already had a power acoustic razor 2500 wat amp I had seen a post on here about someone using one for 1ohm load and said as long as the gain is set correctly it would not send amp into protection mode I hooked it all up and subs hit nice but when I play a song that I test all my bass to when the long bass hits the amp goes in to protection mode I'm running one battery and I need some input on what I can do to make the amp stop going into protection mode the amp os not over heating or anything just seems to be pulling to much power any advice or input would be greatly appreciated

I got it figured out I had a problem with the power wire between battery and fuse
I have the exact same amp and it is doing the same thing. It does very good except when I turn up the volume to where you can start to feel it, it starts going crazy and keeps going into protection mode. I haven't noticed any problems in my power cable or any other wiring. What exactly was the problem with your power wiring? And what did you have to end up doing to solve it?

Sounds like either the gain is too high or it's wired too low

I agree with the above, and will also add it could perhaps be a poorly crimped connector, terminal not tight enough, bad fuse holder / connection in the power / ground wire. These usually only show themselves at high output. In a rare case even a speaker wire moving and shorting, from amp to box or inside a box, could cause protect, but much less likely.

If you are running at 1-ohm as well like the OP was (you didn't say your impedance), then you’re kind of on your own as these amps aren’t meant for that.

I am about positive it's not a wiring issue. I have checked all wiring on multiple occasions. All connectors are tightly crimped and soldered. All wiring and cables are secure with cable anchors and zip ties. Subs are wired down to around a 1.3 ohm load. The spec sheet says it is 1 ohm stable. I have set the gain with a meter the same way as all the YouTube vids I have watched on the subject. And I have updated and installed the BIG 3 and it has always given me a probIem since day 1. I have been told it could possibly be my alternator or just a factory faulty amp. I know it has me at the point I'm about ready to just yank it all out and say "to h#!? with it." But I do have my eye on a new Taramps. Thanks for the suggestions.
